Meet and sign up with farmers:
- Learn how you can join a CSA farm (purchase a share of the harvest) and get a box of fresh produce each week during the season.
- Find out how you can buy meat, cheese, honey and other food directly from local farmers. Some food will be for sale during this event.

Get information on cooking and food preservation classes and how to find farmers and local food – and get some help deciding if a CSA is right for you.

Jamie Ferschinger, Community Program Coordinator at the Urban Ecology Center, will present on how Community Supported Agriculture (CSA) works. Guests will be able to determine if a CSA membership is a good fit. - Cooking from your CSA box
12:15 pm or 2:00 pm
Annie Wegner LeFort, Chef and Master Food Preserver, will share ideas for more efficiently using the contents of a weekly CSA box to prepare quick healthy meals. Recipes, tips, and resources will be provided. - How Pesticides & Food Choice Affect Our Health & Water Quality – 1 pm
Lynn Markham, University of Wisconsin Extension Agent at University of Wisconsin at Stevens Point will discuss how food choices affect personal health and the safety of drinking water.
